A Message from the Principal
Welcome to Saint Theresa of Avila School! I am delighted to introduce you to our school community, where a strong foundation in academics, faith, and character helps students grow into confident, compassionate, and responsible individuals.
At Saint Theresa of Avila School, we believe that a Catholic education is about so much more than what happens inside a classroom. It is about educating the whole child by nurturing intellectual curiosity, encouraging spiritual growth, building strong character, and developing a sense of responsibility toward others. We strive to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our Catholic faith is woven into the everyday experiences of our students, guiding us to lead with kindness, treat others with respect, and recognize the value and dignity of every individual.
From our Nursery and PreKindergarten programs through Grade 6, we take pride in creating a welcoming and nurturing environment where children can learn, explore, and grow. Our dedicated teachers and staff work hard to make learning meaningful, challenge students academically, and help them develop the confidence and independence they need to succeed. Just as importantly, we encourage our students to be kind, to serve others, and to understand that even the smallest acts of compassion can make a difference.
Saint Theresa of Avila, our school's patron saint, was known for her strength, determination, and deep faith. Her example reminds us of the importance of living with purpose, remaining committed to our values, and finding ways to make a positive difference in the lives of others. These are lessons we strive to instill in our students each day, both in and beyond the classroom.
One of the things that makes Saint Theresa of Avila School so special is our sense of community. We believe that a child's education is a partnership between school and family, and we value the relationships we build with our parents, guardians, and one another. Our school is a place where children are known by name, families are welcomed, and students are encouraged to support and celebrate one another. These connections help create a sense of belonging that stays with our students long after they leave our classrooms.
As Principal, I feel fortunate to be part of a community that cares so deeply about its students and their futures. My hope is that every child who walks through our doors feels a sense of belonging, discovers a love of learning, and develops the confidence and character to make a difference in the world. We are proud of the foundation we provide and the lasting relationships we build along the way.
Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Saint Theresa of Avila School. I invite you to visit us, meet our teachers and students, and experience firsthand what makes our school such a special place. I look forward to welcoming you to our community!
Warmly,
Mary Kate Stephatos
